Deeply inspired by the loss of family, history and identity, the artist creates mixed-media collages that merge these themes onto the surface of her works.
"My themes and concepts generally revolve around family history, generational connections, and ordinary moments in time. I am especially interested in historical research, and with the forgotten women and lives in my family's history. My work reflects a desire to remember them; to document their existence and to honor their life experiences. I am deeply and fundamentally inspired by the Chinese-American artist Hung Liu, among other artists with similar works."
