Deeply inspired by the loss of family, history and identity, the artist creates mixed-media collages that merge these themes onto the surface of her works.
"My themes and concepts generally revolve around social isolation, family history, and trauma. I am especially interested in historical research, and with the forgotten women and lives in my family's history. My work reflects a desire to remember them; to document their existence and to honor their life experiences. I am deeply and fundamentally inspired by the Chinese-American artist Hung Liu, among other artists with similar works."
The artist's current work revolves around the exploration of her experiences as an autistic woman, and how those experiences have shaped her life as a wife and mother.
